After your home survey, we will offer you comprehensive advice about solar energy and its benefits to you and your family. There is far too much jargon and tech speak in the industry today, and sadly, this often obscures the genuine and straightforward benefits of solar energy for homeowners.

We provide a no-nonsense, completely jargon-free advice service to help you fully understand the benefits and practicalities of solar energy. After this, if you’re interested in proceeding, we can start designing a custom solar solution that best fits your home and energy requirements, now and in the future.

Step three: Supply and installation

Once we have answered any questions you may have and you’re happy with the proposed solution, costs, and timeframe, our team will oversee the end-to-end process of supplying and installing your new solar energy system.

All our fitters are MCS (Microgeneration Certification Scheme) certified and NICEIC (National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting) qualified too.

We’ll handle every detail of the process, including procuring all the necessary equipment components and testing your system to ensure that it is safe, effective, and fully compliant with industry best practices and quality standards.

Step four: Setting up the right tariff and revenue streams

Unlike many other providers, our service and support doesn’t end at the point of installation. We will help configure and refine your system to deliver the right savings and revenues for you, providing ongoing pragmatic advice and support. This can include setting up the right tariff for your energy usage and establishing the appropriate revenue streams if you plan to sell any excess energy back to the National Grid.

Installation is just the start of your solar energy journey, which is why GreenFox will offer you an ongoing support programme tailored to your needs, including monitoring your solar energy system and providing maintenance and optimisation as needed. This ensures that your system continues to operate efficiently and effectively for the full lifetime of the system, providing long-term savings and excellent value for money.

Many home investments are subject to the law of ‘diminishing returns’. Most household appliances only last so long before they start displaying faults, they cost money to run and need replaced after only a few years.

A solar energy system, on the other hand, is a gift that keeps on giving to your home, year after year, and unlike other investments, the savings increase over time – making it a smart investment.

Once you’ve paid for the installation and setup of your system, the free energy you’ll receive from your solar system will pay off your investment year by year. Depending on your usage, you’ll normally have broken even within 7 to 8 years from the savings you’ll get on your monthly bills, and after that, your solar system will provide you with free energy for at least another 15 years before it needs upgrading.

However, any good solar system needs upkeep to maintain its efficiency, and that’s why we don’t simply install solar systems at GreenFox. A big part of what we do is support you throughout the lifetime of your solar investment to ensure your system keeps working as hard as possible to deliver energy savings.
